We greatly value each of our distribution partners, but Newsmax believes it should be treated fairly when it comes to what they pay us.

Newsmax is committed to reaching a fair agreement with Optimum for continued distribution of our channel, and we have offered them commercial terms in line with what major distributors have already agreed to pay Newsmax, despite Optimum having far fewer subscribers.

We are also looking out for you, our viewers.

We believe Newsmax should be distributed in the same packages as the other top news networks.

Newsmax is a popular channel with millions of monthly viewers and over 24 million social media followers – you shouldn’t have to pay extra to get Newsmax on some expensive tier like Everything TV, especially when they put their own news networks, News 12 and i24 News, in the less expensive package, Extra TV.

Today, we can see the on-going assault on independent views and the silencing of conservative voices by mainstream media -- it is a clear and present danger to our way of life.

What’s happening?

To reach viewers like you, Newsmax negotiates with TV service providers like Optimum to provide them the rights to distribute our channel, and we typically renew those agreements with no public fanfare. In fact, over the last couple of years, we have quietly renewed our agreements with many distributors, including 6 of the largest, all of which have more subscribers than Optimum.

We want to continue to work with Optimum to find a deal that is fair to all parties, including you, so that you can continue watching Newsmax and not be forced to watch another news channel that doesn’t tell you the truth or doesn’t reflect your values.

What could I lose?

You could lose access to Newsmax, including your favorite shows like Rob Schmitt, Carl Higbie, Greta Van Susteren, Rob Finnerty, and Greg Kelly.

Will my Optimum bill go down if I lose Newsmax?

No. You’ll be paying the same price for less of the TV you love without getting all of the channels you signed up to receive.

Why is this an issue now?

Agreements come up for renewal every few years, and our contract with Optimum is expiring soon.

What can I do?

Speak up and act! Sign our petition and let your local government official know how important it is for you to have access to the news source on which you depend for real, honest news. Tell them that CENSORSHIP is not OK!
